GOVERNMENT

You are in charge of managing sanitary evacuations: you are looking for solutions to provide your employees and administrators with the best care for treatment of serious or acute illnesses which cannot be treated locally, and at optimum cost.

When a patient is diagnosed with a pathology requiring expert care abroad, you are confronted with a list of critical operational questions:

•    How can you verify that the diagnosis provided locally is reliable?
•    How to be sure that an expensive evacuation is really necessary?
•    How to identify the right specialist to treat the diagnosed pathology?
•    How to optimize the length of your patient's stay abroad, to increase his comfort, while avoiding unnecessary costs?
•    Who are the most qualified doctors able to treat this pathology?
•    How to make an appointment quickly?
•    How to coordinate administrative procedures, organize logistics and reservations related to the validated care path?
•    How to control the financial elements and follow the progress?
•    How to pay bills abroad?

All this without having the necessary internal resources to resolve all of these issues.

Thanks to C3Medical, the managers of emergency evacuation situations, from institutions and international administrations, have reduced by 80% the time spent by their teams in these often complex and very expensive cases, while improving the quality of the service provided.

EVACUATION AND CARE PATH ORGANIZATION

C3Medical manages all the essential operations to ensure the smooth running of such evacuations, providing real-time reporting, access to teams of specialized and highly qualified doctors, to teams of coaches and account managers, partnerships with providers (hotels, transport) selected and evaluated regularly, access to proven processes and management tools.

Once the chosen solution has been validated, the project is implemented and organized by our network of health professionals, directly with the patient, while our customers are informed of the progress in real time via our C3Medical MGPS BestCare digital platform.

The appointments are made and planned in the most optimal and consistent way, and the accommodation reservations are also handled by our management team.

ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT

To help with obtaining administrative documents, the patient is assisted with his visa application and will receive, before his trip, all the elements required by the local consulate.

In the event that an extension to his visa in the country of care is necessary, the patient can be accompanied by a C3Medical team member, via the Concierge Service, who is accustomed to dealing with these procedures.

PATIENT’S SUPPORT DURING EVACUATION

In the event that the patient's accommodation (medical or not) needs to be changed, the decision is made by mutual agreement between the patient’s doctor, the patient and the C3Medical Director.

As soon as transportation is organized, a C3Medical team member is present, right up to admission in the new facility, to ensure quality hospitality and that all pre-organized services are provided.

MEDICAL FILE ARCHIVING

To finally close and archive the medical file, as specified by French law n ° 78-17 of January 6, 1978, the patient will receive his medical records, including all reports filed by the health professionals who took part in his care plan.

Similarly, a financial statement accompanied by all proof of payment receipts, of benefits in terms of the therapeutic course of treatments, as well as a summary from C3Medical administrative services, are provided in electronic and paper format.

POST-TREATMENT FOLLOW UP

The mission of C3medical doesn’t stop when the care path ends in France: post-treatment long-term follow-up – often necessary in the case of complex pathologies such as cancer - is also part of its mission.

Thanks to close partnerships C3Medical has developed over time or which have recently been set up, between French hospitals and leading foreign hospitals, and with qualified doctors around the globe, our team will make sure you benefit from the best post-treatment follow-up when you arrive back home in your country.

A dedicated team is in charge: you will not be left to cope alone (see “Step 12 - Post-medical treatment follow-up” in “The 12 steps of the care path into details”), and instant access to C3Medical MGPS BestCare digital platform – for you and your doctors – to recover all the records and files related to your treatment, even years later, is the key to this efficient long-term follow-up program.

VALIDATION OF PERTINENCE

Before executing an evacuation request, the members of the evacuation committee seek validation from a team of experts gathered under short notice by C3Medical.

The purpose is to check the necessity of the evacuation, taking into account the pathology of the patient, the degree of illness development, and the capacity of local infrastructures to take care – or not - of the patient.

If the elements of the medical file do not give clear insight as to what treatment is needed, additional examinations are prescribed in order to avoid unnecessary or misdirected evacuations.

SEVERAL FINANCIAL QUOTES TO DECIDE

In order to obtain the best prices for hospitalization, our customers will receive quotations from different medical establishments, when possible - as certain pathologies require access to specific highly specialized establishments.

They may include quotes from establishments in different countries, from different cities, from different secteurs (public or private), in which specialists, recognized for their ability to deal with the case concerned, intervene.

This flexibility allows the patient to make the best choice, given his particular situation.

OUT-PATIENT WHEN POSSIBLE

When receiving a care package proposal, our customers are assured that the time spent by the patient abroad is minimized, examinations are concentrated over time to reduce costly days of hospitalization, the number of days spent in hospitals and clinics is limited to what is absolutely necessary.

In this light, outpatient accommodation is privileged and organized in nursing homes, hotels and apartments - with all the medical or non-medical associated services -.

CONSTANT CARE PATH OPTIMIZATION

In order to reduce the length of costly hospitalization, C3Medical's medical teams regularly interact with the healthcare team, to transfer the patient as soon as possible (when his condition allows) to non-hospital settings.

This results in substantial savings, compared to the initial estimate proposed, and improves the well-being of the patient.

The transfer to the new accommodation is coordinated and organized by the C3Medical teams, as well as the associated necessary logistics.

COST AND PAYMENT CONTROL

Before paying a healthcare facility bill, the invoiced amounts are validated by our medical team to ensure that the rates charged, are the negotiated rates and correspond to the service provided.

In case of discrepancies, negotiations and discussions are held between the medical directors, to find a solution and come to an agreement on the fair price to pay.
